NGNM SERIES: BIKE AND BREW

Some of the best ideas start mid-ride. For Wes and Travis, Bike and Brew began somewhere between dirt trails and daydreams—with a shared vision of a shop that felt more like a hangout than a showroom.  They’d talked about every detail—the brands, the atmosphere, even the playlist—and when they finally found a blank-slate space in Bridgeland in 2017, Bike and Brew officially opened its doors.

At first, it was just bikes and coffee, but two years and countless espressos later, the “brew” part of the name started doing double duty. After working with the AGLC to bring their full vision to life, Bike and Brew became the kind of spot where you could drop your bike for a tune-up and grab a pint while you wait. Every choice inside reflects Wes and Travis’s personalities—the spirit of tattoo, skate, and snow culture runs through everything here, from the local beer and sandwiches to the beans and curated lineup of smaller bike brands you won’t see in bigger shops. Nothing here is accidental.

In its near-decade in business, Bike and Brew has grown into a hub whose spokes (forgive us) include group rides, art shows, and craft nights dot the calendar, each one a reason for riders and neighbours alike to slow down and connect. The team, handpicked for their passion above all else, keeps the service bay running with a “no ego” approach—because accessibility matters as much as precision. Nestled in Bridgeland on a quiet bike share road, Bike and Brew stays true to its roots. It’s a place built by riders, for riders, where you can fix a flat, share a beverage, and remember what community actually feels like.
